About Us

Greter Phoenix VAAD Hakashruth is a non-profit Orthodox organization dedicated to promoting Kashruth through education, research, and supervision. It was established over 40 years ago by Rabbi David Rebibo. The VAAD currently certifies many facilities, bakeries, restaurants, hotels and caterers throughout the Community.

The VAAD:

  1. Researches and Monitors new developments in the food industry.
  2. Publishes a newsletter with the latest information about kosher products and issues.
  3. Sends out e-mail alerts.
  4. Conducts educational seminars for consumers and institutions.
  5. Oversees conventions and conferences at different resorts.
  6. Supervises and oversees Kosher for Pasover programs at various local resorts.
